The Pennridge Democrats are the municipal arm of the Bucks County Democratic Committee, representing the communities of Bedminster, Dublin, East Rockhill, Hilltown, Perkasie, Sellersville, Silverdale, Telford, and West Rockhill.
We work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, from local school boards and borough councils to state and federal offices. We believe in transparent government, strong public schools, and responsive leadership that puts community needs first.
We support well-funded public schools led by qualified educators, not outside political consultants. Our endorsed school board candidates have fought to restore local control, respect teacher expertise, and ensure every student has access to a quality education.
We believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or background. We stand against discrimination in all its forms and fight for policies that ensure equal opportunity and protection under the law for everyone.
We trust individuals to make their own healthcare decisions. Access to reproductive healthcare, including contraception and abortion, should be a personal choice made between a patient and their doctor, not politicians. We will fight to protect these fundamental rights in Pennsylvania and beyond.
Democracy depends on every eligible citizen being able to cast their vote and have it counted. We support policies that make voting easier and more accessible, oppose voter suppression tactics, and believe in the integrity of our election system. Free and fair elections are the foundation of our republic.
We believe in an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few. This means fair wages, affordable healthcare, support for small businesses, and policies that help working families get ahead. When the middle class thrives, our entire community benefits.
We have a responsibility to protect our air, water, and land for future generations. We support common-sense environmental policies, investment in clean energy, and local efforts to preserve the natural beauty of Bucks County.
We believe residents have the right to know how their government operates. Our community members have successfully used Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law to hold officials accountable and expose bad-faith practices.
Our candidates are your neighbors: parents, educators, small business owners, and longtime residents who show up at your door to listen. We believe good governance starts with understanding what matters to the people we serve.
In 2023, voters delivered a decisive mandate for change, electing five Democratic candidates to the Pennridge School Board and overturning an 8-1 Republican majority in a district with 18,000 registered Republicans and only 12,000 Democrats. The community rejected extremism and voted for common-sense leadership focused on students, not ideology.
In 2025, we built on that momentum with historic wins across the ballot. We flipped three more school board seats, giving Democrats an 8-1 majority on the Pennridge School Board. Perkasie Borough Council also flipped to an 8-1 Democratic majority, along with other significant wins in municipal races across our communities.
Our grassroots efforts also helped contribute to historic county-wide victories, including electing the first Democratic Sheriff and District Attorney in Bucks County history. When we organize locally, we win up and down the ballot.
