Every four years, following the gubernatorial primary, the Pennridge Democrats hold a reorganization meeting to elect officers for the next four-year term. This is our reorganization meeting, and electronic voting opens immediately after.
OFFICES ON THE BALLOT
– Chairperson
– Vice Chairperson
– Recording Secretary
– Treasurer
All officers serve four-year terms. Deputy Chairs (up to three) are appointed by the Chairperson after the election, not voted on.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE
Per our bylaws (Article II, Section C), the following may vote:
– Members in Good Standing (MIGS) – registered Democrats living in the Pennridge School District who have attended at least three meetings within the past 12 months
– Elected Democratic Federal, State, County, and Local officials residing in our area
– Members of the Democratic State Committee
– Elected Committeepersons from precincts within Pennridge
– Officers of the Bucks County Democratic Committee (BCDC)
– Members of the Pennridge Democrats Executive Board
– Deputy Chairs
– Chair Emeritus
HOW THE VOTE WORKS
Eligible voters will receive an email shortly after the meeting with a link to cast their ballot electronically. You will have 48 hours to vote.
Per our bylaws, no vote is taken by secret ballot. Records of votes cast are preserved and are open and available on request.
