Pennridge School Board

Dan Bebernitz

Dan Bebernitz

About Me

Dan Bebernitz is a passionate educator who believes public schools are the foundation of a strong community. Dan and his wife settled in Hilltown and are raising identical twin daughters, Adalyn and Lela, who recently turned one. They are excited to watch their girls grow up in the Pennridge community.

With fifteen years of experience as an educator, Dan began his career as a social studies teacher before becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. In this role, he uses research-based approaches and evidence-based decision making, skills he plans to bring to school board discussions on important issues affecting district stakeholders.

Much of Dan’s work has focused on special education students across various settings including public schools, residential programs, medical support systems, and nonprofits. His extensive experience with this vulnerable population has deepened his commitment to ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed.

Dan believes effective school board leadership requires setting aside partisanship to focus specifically on what’s best for Pennridge students and educators. He is committed to serving as a public servant who builds strong schools, supports teachers, and helps all students thrive.

Nathaniel Leffever

About Me

Nathaniel Leffever is a proud Pennridge graduate (Class of ’05) who has returned home to raise his family in the community that shaped him. He and his wife Marianna recently purchased a home in the center of Dublin, where they can often be found walking around the neighborhood and enjoying their community.

Nathaniel’s educational journey included both Pennridge and the Upper Bucks Area Vocational Technical School, where he studied welding. This combination of academic and technical education proved invaluable throughout his life, teaching him the importance of experiential learning—particularly beneficial for someone with ADHD.

Coming from a family of educators, with a grandmother who started a private school in Doylestown nearly 50 years ago, Nathaniel spent 13 years in early childhood education in various roles from facilities management to teaching assistant. He continued his education at Bucks County Community College and Temple University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in English while tutoring students and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

As his daughter Liliana enters first grade at Bedminster Elementary this fall, Nathaniel is committed to protecting public education locally and serving the entire Pennridge community with compassion, common sense, and stability.

Carly
Taylor

About Me

Carly Taylor is a dedicated community member and proud Pennridge parent who is committed to supporting a strong educational foundation for all students. Having grown up in Bedminster and Doylestown, Carly felt called to return to Bucks County after a decade in Colorado, seeking the strong sense of community she remembered from her youth.

Carly, her husband Chris, and their daughter Aria planted roots in Hilltown, where they’ve found incredible neighbors who’ve become friends. Professionally, Carly works as a horse trainer and veterinary assistant for an equine dentist, connecting with community members daily while finding creative solutions to challenges.

Her previous experience in biotechnology research, where she managed regulated labs from startup to IPO, taught her valuable skills in process improvement, training, and balancing business needs with employee welfare while working within budget constraints.

As her daughter prepares to enter kindergarten, Carly believes in a non-partisan approach to education that focuses on meeting the needs of all students in our community. She looks forward to bringing her unique perspective and collaborative approach to the Pennridge School Board.

Thomas Trauger

About Me

Thomas Trauger is a 21 year Pennridge resident with generational ties to the community. A graduate of nearby Palisades School District, Tom’s connections to Pennridge run deep—his mother, several aunts, uncles, and cousins are all Pennridge graduates.

Tom and his wife, who met in middle school, became Pennridge residents in 2004 first settling in Sellersville before moving to East Rockhill. They are raising three active children who participate in gymnastics, dance, Deep Run lacrosse, and Greenjackets football. With children soon to be attending elementary, middle, and high school simultaneously, Tom has a unique perspective across all educational levels in the district.

Professionally, Tom holds a Finance degree from Temple University and has built a 25-year career in skilled nursing, where he takes pride in positively impacting older adults in our community and advocating for healthcare needs of residents and employees.

Tom is committed to bringing this same advocacy spirit to the Pennridge School Board, working to ensure all children receive the best possible public education in an environment where they feel safe, valued, and respected.
